I also have an Windows 10 Alienware laptop. For Sims 1 Legacy edition I have to change my resolution in my settings to 800/600 to make the screen larger. Its an older game so its easier to see on lower resolutions.
I am still having that same issue with the Sims 2. I have been messing around with my graphics options to see if that helps. I think the problem is its trying to run at a framerate that is not possible for an older game.
I do wish they would have completely remastered the games, as that is what is needed to run on newer PCs.
