Oh, okay - figures I am on a roll - I got it wrong then as for some reason my head had the thought you might be leaving this week end and just in case - I wanted to wish you a sort of "Bon Voyage" for good luck for a great trip.
Oh my gosh, I sure hope this doesn't take me two more weeks then. Good - today looks promising so far - mostly sunny, but temps are back in the 60's and very windy. Usually windy doesn't bother the internet for me - but sometimes it can make the lights blink. I run my pc through an apb backup power supply and as long as it's working properly am unaffected by power drops and surges. Hopefully that is the case - as even that was acting up during this weeks stormy weather.
Okay, anyway - that's good to know though that you won't be leaving yet. Well good for me anyway - hehehe, not sure how you feel.
I have to admit though I do not envy your trip - even though I love my family dearly, the thoughts of spending a few weeks with any of them would have my nerves frayed. I am a creature of mostly quiet and peaceful surroundings - sort of one with nature more or less, and they are like party central and always doing things and going places - and so much noise. Makes me want to take a Xanax just thinking of such an event, and believe me I rarely think of needing a Xanax. hehehe
Maybe I was adopted and somebody just forgot to tell me - as I am just the exact opposite of all my family - I swear.
You are brave my friend, at least from my prospective.
As for this world - no I think Beach City is perfect for it. I still see it as a sort of little North Miami, with the countryside and farming areas reminding me of Homestead which is outside of Miami where my dad was working for the AirForce where I spent from age 8-11. I am sure nowadays Homestead is a lot less farm country as it was then, but I have not been there in years. But it all works for me.
You'd be surprised what is really a city as it depends on their type of government, the population and not the number of high rises or business district. There are a lot of "Cities" up in Maine that are smaller than some really small towns, but they have a Mayor and all elected officials, and a minimal population size required and the proper documents in order so they are a city. It all depends on what the residents of an area vote for if criteria is met. I know at least 5 Maine cities that don't even have a single high rise, or even a Mall or theater.
I actually think your "city" area perfectly balances with everything else myself. (Also consider the fact I live in a "Village" anything the size of a small town is big to me. We have two small grocery stores, a furniture store (Green Mountain Furniture), an Ace Hardware store, two gas stations, 1 drug store, and a Consignment shop. Oh an a Mac Donalds and a Dunkin Donuts. I forget about those as I never go to either. That's it. You want anything else you pick a direction and drive for 2 hours or order online.
