Chapter 3.3 “If the Sun refused to Shine”
Mothers got a combined weekly royalty check of 2400, we were much better off than before, with “If the Sun refused to Shine” being such a major hit for her. Robert began his 20th oil painting for the first time taking up the challenge of painting his lover.

Robert took two of his larger painting at the action house. ”Girl with umbrella” and “Dog at the Window”

Robert haven’t seen his former love Cheyenne Fox for years, but he met her that day at the auction, they talked a bit remembering old day, but the magic was gone. The paintings sold well, his first hammer price above $1000.
When Robert came home that night he proposed to mummy. They held a private wedding the next weekend and at the same time Robert adopted me, just in case anything should happen to mother.

I was now officially Grace Slick Joblin-Fripp and had a father that I loved very much.
After getting married Robert (ups) father took up training at the fitness center, trying to lose some weight, that was a first.

The town was prosperous during the period with many new families moving here, that was also very notable in our neighborhood, where new families moved into the previously abandoned houses, or builded new homes.
The farm across the street from Miss Loves was bought by the large Bridge family, the old wooden house across the street from us was now occupied be the Funke family, behind them the Kated family constructed a home for themselves. That was great with more young people closer to my home.
Sadly, our friends Jon and Tamiko left town to start a new life elsewhere, selling their home to a young lady by the name if Gwen Glower.

Through David I learned that Miss Loveless was hospitalized, a surgical operation removing a tumor. When she came home I went to visit her more frequent than before, just having a coffee chatting for a while.
She tried to held her head high, but I could see that she was marked by her illness, standing there looking out the window with empty eyes. Sometimes the sun can refuse to shine, can't it?
