Chapter 3.5 “If the Sun refused to Shine”
Now I will tell you what happened to Robert’s life, after Miss Loveless died. Not that it was very important for me at least not back then, a teenage girl occupied with her friends and school and boys and all that, but I thought you, the reader, would like to know.
Miss Loveless left everything to him and the twins, and that was a lot, not only the house but a bank account with more than 100.000$. Probably 50 times more than he had ever had at one time before.
He completely reconstructed and renovated the house. Keeping much of the original idea but also changing a lot both inside and outside.

Downstair against the street a large dining room.
I asked him when I first saw it: “You got computer, TV, a big stereo, but I thought you always said you dislike modern tech””
Ya, that’s true, I do, but I know the kids will love it and I really don’t use any of it much”

Against the backyard, a completely new modern kitchen, and next to than two bathrooms, as he wanted an extra, but not the one upstairs. Nothing completely decorated yes, but functional enough to use.

Upstairs he had torn down every wall, to make one large room, supported by four large wooden pillows. “This is really nice” I said “Your bedroom is larger that our entire house”

David answered not so appear to loaded. “well it is not only my bedroom, is also my living room and the children’s room.”
I changed subject, “but where is all the cat stuff” David just said; “They got their own apartment in the garage, with all they need. My first attempt to build a home for homeless animals, expect to expand it later. That said it is also my laundry room.”
Did you keep the small cottage up the road”, Robert asked him one day we came over. “Sure it is still there, just haven’t thought about what to do with it” “Maybe a small café, “Maybe an exhibition about local wildlife, gemstones, flowers or maybe a gallery just haven’t had the time to work on anything so far, rebuilding the house an looking after my girls
