Chapter 3.6 “If the Sun refused to Shine”

Same year in may mother released her 2nd large novel. Another massive achievement counting no less than 717 pages. Titled "Formentera Lady"
An important critic wrote:
“Joplin tells a story of an Arab noble, living at the Spanish island Formentera when attacked by Norwegian Vikings in 1109, held as concubine by the Viking leader she travels to Constantinople and later Jerusalem, before returning to Norway. Won’t say how it ends up there though. The story in it self interesting, but compared to If the Sun refused to Shine it is more of a historical drama than a romantic novel, and I am afraid it may split her audience”

The Novel sold fine, but never reached the same figures as the preceding book.
During this period, I often visited Miss Loveless, she was an odd person but also very friendly. Somehow, I missed her a lot.

Besides the trips to the grave, I spend most of my afternoons at the houses of my two best friends, Marylin Bridge and Emilia Kated.

Marylin was the daughter of the rich farmer Brian Bridge who had acquired the large farm across from Davids house. The parents divorced with her mother now living in town. Brian Bridge now sharing bed with new lover Alouette.

Marylin was a pretty doll, screwing the mind of many a highschool boy in town, but she was far from smug.

Marylin had two brothers Kenny and Jimmy, both was fine but did not make my heart go bom bom. Indigo did, I loved that horse.

The downside at her household was her grandpa, this almost 60 years old man with his awfull dyed hair, just could not keep his eyes from me, always getting to close and touched me as if “accidentally”

The first boy that could lit up my hormones was Emilia Kated’s brother Matt, but he was at least on the surface, not interested.
