Augusta the Adventurer (PalmArrow's gameplay thread)
When I first started playing the Sims 3 in 2014 - which was also the first time I played any Sims game at all - I created a female Sim to live, basically, my dream life. Augusta lived on a houseboat in Isla Paradiso, was a self-employed artist, went on World Adventures, went scuba-diving and married a red-haired writer called Aidan, whom I created for her. They eventually had a red-haired daughter. Awesome! But, since it was my first time playing any Sims game, I was absolutely in over my head. I didn't have any experience with taking care of a sim's basic needs and skills, and I was trying to fight mummies and sharks!
So I decided to reboot my first ever gameplay, but this time I will actually know what I'm doing! I didn't want to remake Augusta and Aidan from scratch. I remade them from the actual same sims I played then, but I changed their looks completely because I was terrible at CAS back then too. (Luckily, my graphic settings were also terrible so I rarely had a good look at their faces!)
Augusta then and now:
Aidan then and now:
A throwback image from my old save. Augusta and Aidan are mature adults here, the houseboat they live in is large and full of relics and nectar from Augusta's adventures, and their daughter Imogen has just aged up to teen.
Soon after this I abandoned this save. I wanted to try new content and better graphics, and even more importantly, I didn't want Aidan and Augusta to age up and die. But now I feel excited about revisiting the story!
