It works the same way. They are not lot centric. You can place them in any lot on the world map. just make sure you name them. Also you can do the same with drill holes, subways too.
Cool. I've done the subway to the small islands trick before, just never tried it with dive wells. Hmm, now to make a secret passageway from one of my mansions to Smuggler's Beach.
