Arica had the best memories growing up as a child of searching for colorful eggs every Easter. When she heard that the nearby neighborhood had children who came from poor families and they didn't get to celebrate Easter, she immediately knew what she wanted to do for Easter weekend. She HAD to throw a party for the children! They would hunt Easter eggs, color eggs of course, and eat candy till their teeth fell out! Arica rounded up some pretty clothing from her friends and acquaintances and threw the party of a life time.
The parents of the children were so grateful that some were in tears. No one had ever taken the time to do something like this for their children. And the kids loved it! They were so excited, they nearly smashed the eggs in their rush to find them. One little boy, who secretly was just as excited as the girls, had to put on a good front and act like this was so NOT a boy thing to do. But when no one was looking, he had a huge smile on his face just like everyone else.
Arica had never felt better and had to admit this was the best Easter she had ever had, and even the best party she had ever thrown. What is better than making children happy? Especially those less fortunate!
