I am on a 1.67 install, having completely boycotted the EA app, and CAW works great for me. I can use EIG just fine. The only requirement is that I have a separate The Sims 3 folder dedicated to CAW with only the base game, all expansions, and all stuff packs. Occasionally, I will add a store item or two for a specific purpose. However, if all the store content is installed, it will not load EIG, and may not load CAW at all.
