@bekkasan After the text messages you sent about this chapter in the story I'm very excited to read it!
Layla indeed looks beautiful as she's doing herself up in the mirror. You did so well illustrating that and the thoughts, feelings and concerns going through her head. :star: (She's debating on letting go of the Oracle life? :open_mouth: Although honestly, I can't say I wasn't expecting that. After all she's been through...)
Lee is also a fine looking man.
^Hee hee, I love that you threw that in.
I
loved the playful and flirty banter between her and Lee in the kitchen. <3  <3
I could just picture Lee admiring the way her body swayed while cleaning the counter. :smirk:
Aww, he wants her company for breakfast. <3
Layla's confession...just...Wow! :star: My heart was reaching out to her. How true is all that for so many professions out there in the world where people serve others. Talking with my brothers who are physicians at our family reunion, they were expressing how they used to
love their jobs, but now after so many years in and dealing with thousands of patients they have lost so much faith in people - in society - and no longer enjoy it as much...it's just sad.
Oftentimes people will never be satisfied with the services given and I certainly can't blame Layla for eventually turning cold towards her "clients" when so many were just flat out mean and rude to her over words she couldn't control! (It's like, "I'm just the spokesperson you know?" ?♀️) Bless her heart.
I knew Lee wouldn't judge (or condemn) her for it, but I was thankful to read that he didn't. <3
I love his words of assurance and comfort to her and that she shared with him how much she appreciated it. I could sense a bond, and definitely a friendship, created instantly between them. :star:
I was honestly expecting more dialogue ;) but lady that was
fantastic! It was wonderful to learn more about Layla and her personality, as well as Lee's. Great job! I look forward to more!
