@emorrill Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment!  I know how busy you are getting ready for the big move. I hope you were not disappointed other than not as much conversation as you thought. With the other conversation I wrote with the other parts it was way too much and would take too long for people to read had I posted it all in one chapter. So I had to break it down. I hope to get the next part posted today.
I wanted to add a little more about Layla and Lee since they seem to want a bigger part. When he got up I was going to have him meditate but he changed and rushed down to the kitchen where Layla was! Ok...Lee I know you want to spend time with her! LOL
I'm glad you understood what happened to her and what she dealt with. It happens a lot and it doesn't take much to disillusion those of us in that type of job and make us way more cynical. One of my biggest joys is when I see someone really understand what I am teaching because their behavior changes and their health improves. My biggest frustration when I see them looking at their watch (I just got here duh!) and tapping their foot and obviously wanting me out the door. I do what I can to figure out a way to connect with them but sometimes its impossible and you know you are just talking to the walls.
I think they are definitely bonding and thinking of each other. They are getting more wishes. It's fun watching.
@DivaDoodle Inquiring minds want to know what would you choose?
Layla is still Layla. She is still brooding and dramatic and eccentric. I don't expect her to completely change overnight but she is making a whole lot more effort. She lost her grumpy moodlet because I got tired of the muttering face! LOL You didn't find the scene with her and Lee in the kitchen as funny? That is what it was meant to be. Oops. So perhaps writer needs to go back and fix that. It was not meant to be pompous, nor self absorbed, so I'm hoping if you reread it you will see it different. If not, perhaps I need to fix it.
It is always fun for me to read comments because we all come from different places and all of you generally have different thoughts on what you've read. Plus, I can see if I need to fix something.
I didn't go into much detail about her life over the years. Just tried to be very general but no she wasn't interested in having Jamie try to fix her. She didn't see it as her problem. The criticism over the years took a big toll on her. Silly people not willing to listen to her. But she still did her job and for those who were willing to listen she was able to help them.
Hmm, yes, you can change your mind. What would you choose now? I already know what I would choose for Layla. I'm not sure yet what she will choose. I'm kinda waiting to see if she shows me what she wants. Kinda like Lee rushing down to be with her that morning instead of letting me have him meditate.
Yes, Lee is very patient and wants to help everyone who needs it. I've modeled him after hubby a little bit to be honest. He was very intelligent and very patient, and didn't wear his emotions on his sleeves. He would stay calm even when angered, which was rare. He was my rock and anchor because my emotions were more volatile. That is how I see Lee, very calm, stoic, able to handle anything thrown at him. That little outburst when he saw Layla change was very rare for him. Since I don't use the bubbles as clues to what sims think. I will tell you he gets the heart/magnet moodlet when she is near. But not when Bekka, Mary nor Emmaline were near. Apparently he is attracted to a volatile woman. I don't think he feels like he needs to fix her. I think he just wants to be with her. Hubby never tried to fix me, he just loved me just as I was.
Thanks so much for the comments and for reading!
