I'm still dithering over what to do with her, but initially I wanted her to continue, but I also want her to have way more fun in her life than she has been having. I think I'm going to let her tell me and if she doesn't I will throw one of hubby's weird magic dice and see what happens. I think I remember where they are stashed.
I dunno, nurses or anyone for that matter with burnout don't always make good bosses. They seem to forget what it was like, and they are lousy about helping out when help is needed desperately. The 'it's not my problem now' attitude is pretty prevalent. Might be different if they were a buddy but not in my experience. Too many of the managers at hospitals I worked at had book sense, but no bedside sense at all, because beyond clinicals they hadn't worked on the floors.
I'm kinda waiting to see how others think about it. Even if you don't like her it was supposed to be cute and funny and not sound self absorbing or pompous. I think any good writer or bad one for that matter should listen to critique and rewrite when needed.
Who else do you blame when silly people are blaming you for the Fates prophecies and won't listen. It is not her fault they are stupid and not willing to listen. She tried and tried and it kept getting worse. I don't think it was so much being burned out as being frustrated not being able to help people like she thought she would. She was Oracle for a long time. I'm figuring somewhere between 30-35 years. Based on Bekka being around 25ish. She wasn't perfect by any means, but she didn't deserve to be blamed for the Fates words. Last straw, getting cursed because the prophecy didn't meet his expectations. Their are no other Oracles. Only one real one, might be fake ones around. :grin: Being the Fates, they know what happened to her, and being the Fates they didn't intervene to help her with the curse or any other situation. That is the way of Fates. It is up to the individual or their family and friends. I would not want the Fates as my boss! I expect she will have to contact them fairly soon as they will need to have another Oracle if she is not going to do it. People still line up wanting their prophecy told.
Lee is very much enjoying her company. Will still have to see if they are soulmates. You know me, I'm not rushing it, could be a few months. :lol:
