Sorry guys I'm very short on time if I actually want to play MBC a few minutes during my breakfast break. So I am not sure if the outdoor game you all are talking about is the Portable Knubb Set.
I haven't yet seen it on MBC. I haven't come upon it. But let me tell you in every world that it's on, it traps sims. I had one of my sims' romantic interests trapped at the Portable Knubb Set in one of Matkooskee's parks for about 3 sim days. I couldn't figure out why he was snubbing my sim every time she called him he had an excuse for not coming over. I knew he was unemployed so I started looking for a party or some gathering where he might have gotten stuck. I found him at the portable Knubb set. I should have known--I've seen it happen to too many sims on too many worlds. They are not obviously stuck or in distress. If you come upon them you can interact with them and that is sufficient to "break the spell". But if you don't interact, they will stay there day and night. I don't know if they can leave of their own volition.
IMO, the portable knubb set probably shouldn't be on a community lot. I seriously regret putting it in the gym I made for Winter Wonderland. I didn't realize there is a problem with it until I saw what happened on Matkooskee. Though I'd seen sims enthralled by the portable knubb set before, on Matkooskee I finally understood how bad of an issue it is that they can't respond to phone invitations.
