does this feel right for this world? I was trying to reference what I saw .... not sure I am heading in the right direction?

Hi Kcity74​ ,  Alsace architecture is mainly influenced by Germanic half-timbered houses often with stone foundations and steeply pitched roofs .... so you are definitely heading in the right direction and your build will fit into the world quite nicely 😀
