Regina, yeah, my heart sinks a wee bit when I see all those amazing worlds out there or nearly out there and I kind of gave up trying to get a certain look in certain areas of the island, but it`s there and there it is.
Regarding play testing...well, well...I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it plays a dream, no problems at all. All the work places perform, taxis and carpools arrive on time and function correctly, fishing isn`t a problem and routing is just about right.
I DID have a problem with that darned offshore island though and after placing a sim there I experienced a terrible lag in my game (this after three solid days testing play). I ended up deleting that game and setting the island cabin to community lot (no visitors allowed) and that seeems to have sorted out the lag issue. So, no solitary island-life for my sims, at least not on that little island anyway.
I did have to export my world twice as the first time I tried without using sims routing paint and found my sims spiderman-like running over cliffs and not going where I wanted them to. So, second time round I made sure certain areas were route painted so those pesky sims would go to places via the route I intended.
The solitary mountain top which can be reached was only left as there are no drastic looking climbs to the top of it, it always appears that the sim is either running or walking a feasable route to the top (I know you like feasable Regina).
I`m going to `*** and tuck` a few things and hopefully i`ll try uploading it to the exchange (i`ve got 10mb broadband) early this upcoming week. If that fails then i`ll open an account with rapidshare or mediafire and upload there instead.
Blimey, what a palaver!
