Considering how often it can crash for others I wasn't too put out by it, but good grief, this terrain painting is hurting my wrist. I so didn't need to do that over again! I'm back now to beyond where I was when it crashed, though, so it was probably something like fifteen minutes, give or take, that I had lost. I had saved a couple of brushes earlier, plus I keep settings for brushes for certain things written on paper because I can't trust my memory.
I would also benefit from not having to click the Undo button and redoing what I just did at least three or four times every time I do something.
As it is, I'm sitting here trying to convince myself that it probably won't take me the better part of the next week just to paint the perimeter. So far I'm not believing it.
Yes, I keep holding my breath, wondering if this thing will end up corrupting or some such along the way. One thing I learned today from Mr. Crumplebottom is don't send your saves to the Recycle Bin then retrieve them because that will definitely corrupt them. Now I did copy saves to my second HD, delete the originals, then bring back those files and that worked okay.
