It had started as just a little harmless flirting. For Jamie Jolina, flirting was just part of her personality. She didn't always mean anything by it, although sometimes it did cause a lot of problems.
But, it was never meant to be anything serious.
That is, until Christopher Steel kissed her.
Jamie had been kissed before. Thornton Wolff had one time kissed her. A regret Jamie still carried with her. Thornton was a married man and his wife went so far as to get a job at the Sacred Spleen Memorial Hospital just to keep an eye on Jamie. Jamie and Thornton remained friends. But she could tell he was still wanting to be more. She had dialed back the flirtatiousness around him but still liked to flirt around with others.
Like Christopher Steel.
Again, that all changed when they kissed.
Her toes curled. Her fingers tingled. She could still remember how she audibly whimpered into the kiss.
What a kiss!
"I took your advice." Christopher's voice brought her back to the present.
"Yeah?"
"So I went down to the bistro and got that job you were telling me was available." Not only Christopher kiss, he could also cook. He had made Jamie some pancakes and blew her mind. Even with something simple like pancakes.
"You are going to do great!" Jamie smiled.
"How a celebratory kiss?" Christopher said, with a huge grin.
Jamie's breath caught in her throat. "O-Okay...." I hope I don't pass out.
