"Stop! Don't say another word." Emma Hatch groaned as Cycl0n3 Sw0rd zipped it quiet quickly and went back to playing chess on his laptop. Sometimes Emma wondered how she ended up roommates with this group. Stiles the enigma. Blair. Sweet but childish. Tamara the flirty hot-head.
And this guy. Who she only knew by his gaming name.
Emma sighed as she too thought about the wedding at the park. The pairing of two people who could fulfill each other's lifetime wish.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Huh? Oh. Sorry. I forgot you were still here."
Emma tried not to take offense. Cycl0n3 sometimes forgot what he was doing right in the middle of eating dinner. However, he could also just say something very offensive and have no clue he had offended them. Emma tried to convince herself this moment was just him being absent-minded.
"What is your wish? Your lifetime wish?"
He looked up from his game. "You know that Sunset Valley has the never-ending chess tournament?"
Emma knew something about it. You could sign up and, at any time, receive a call to face someone else in town in a ranked chess match.
"I want to be the highest ranked chess player in Sunset Valley. A Chess Legend."
Emma nodded as he went back to playing his game. A moment later, he looked up at her as she worked at the stove.
"Is that mac and cheese?"
Emma laughed. "Yeah, I decided to just make something simple tonight."
"I love mac and cheese!"
Their eyes met and Cycl0n3 smiled....
