Build-n-Share Challenge # 22 - Home Away From Home

Home Away From Home

This will be another 2-week challenge as Addict will be out of town next week. This week’s challenge concept was suggested by Ruthless_kk. As some of you know, a couple of us members of this Creative Corner building community have been away from home last week. As we approach the release of the first TS3 Expansion Pack, World Adventures, that will feature 3 destination towns for your sims to vacation at, this week’s challenge will be to create a vacation home.

Your client? One of us who has been or will be away from home. Your challenge is to choose one of the builders listed below and create a vacation home you think they will like based on their building “style.” The challenge this week is to emulate what you think is their preferred building style. A quick look at each builder’s studio should give you a fairly decent impression of what their preferred style is. You may even want to download a few to take a look at what their tastes are when it comes to interiors.

When you submit your entries, please do not reveal which builder you chose to emulate. Part of the fun in this challenge is to see if you are successful in capturing each builder’s style. We will leave it to the community and the judges to see if you’ve done a successful job at mimicking a style.

Since this is a 2-week challenge, there will be no budget and no lot size limitations. Also, as this is pretty much the last challenge before the release of World Adventures, where we’ll be getting a ton of new items, this challenge will require you to use only base game objects and items. The only exceptions to this rule are free items from the store (including Riverview items) and custom patterns. No other CC or store items are allowed.
