Hi everyone!
I finally finished this city street lot I’ve been working on since last February! It’s something I’ve been working on for a long time, in between DNA requests and ZOO U/MOO U. It’s for the whole life style of Island paradise, or any town really. And I think it’s an especially neat idea for any Touristy Town.
I’ve seen such great houseboats, beach lots, stilted lots and hotels and resorts from SimGuruHydra’s Keeping Afloat thread, ( http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/700766.page ) so I think I have a great companion piece.
It’s a little Touristy Town city block of shopping and activities. Perfect for those rainy days on vacation or when you are just too sunburned to face the beach today! Or if you’re like me and need to…simply need to… see the local shops and explore the town. These are not rabbit holes, you can go in each one and spend the day browsing, shopping, playing, swimming, signing karaoke, dancing in the Pub, tasting nectar, book shopping, ice cream and snow cone sampling, antiquing on consignment, dining in the Italian themed pub or the coffee shop, playing at the arcade, clothes shopping or finding the perfect souvenir to bring home for your loved ones. Kids will love the playground for when Mom and Dad are negotiating prices. Pets will love the ever-full pet bowl. There is even a small ballet studio above the bookstore for our dedicated dancers.
I called it Electric Avenue.

Here’s the front of my city block. From left to right, A coffee shop with arcade above, a passage to the playground with fountains and benches to get out of the sun or to wait and meet your party, an antique store, an Ice cream parlor, and a book store with a dance studio above.
The left side featuring an Italian style restaurant/pub/nectar, a gift shop, public restrooms, and the side of the coffee shop.
The back, featuring a community Swimming pool and playground:
And the right side of the block where “up a steep and very narrow stairway” you’ll find Miss Mariska’s Ballet and Dance studio, as well as the pool house entrance with public restroom and Pool showers:
I’ll show you some close –ups of the shops and what you’ll find inside them.
First we’ll look at the bookstore, (yellow tall building) and the Ice-cream parlor (Pink and sweet!)
Inside the bookstore is a very whimsical shop!
Above the Bookstore, there is a little side entrance and a very steep staircase that leads to Miss Mariska’s Ballet and Dance Studio:
And inside the Ice-Cream Parlor is a classic, All American Sweet little treat of a store!
The next two shops are the antique and consignment store, a covered passageway to the restrooms, the playground and pool, and the Big Blue Coffee shop with upper arcade and fun zone:
Inside Mrs. Pringle’s Antique store (the white building) on the lower level:
And the antique store’s upper level:
Inside Big Blue’s Coffee Shop and Arcade, on the lower level. You can order food from the cashier, or go upstairs and hit the buffet table :
And above is a great hang-out for teens and game lovers.
Turning and going around the side of the block you’ll find the Italian Dining Pub with karaoke, dancing and nectar tasting cellar, and a sunny beach themed gift shop, and public restrooms.
The gift shop is the little light blue building with awnings. The first floor is a general gift shop for members of the whole family. Knick-knacks, toys, pottery, flowers, great gifts for everyone:
Upstairs you’ll find Tee-shirts, beachwear, sundresses, and sundries and colognes:
The Italian style pub is a three story building. (The brick and blue building)
On the first floor you’ll find the restaurant and pub for fine dining:
Above is a second pub, but it also has a dance floor and karaoke for a more active night-life:
And below is nectar tasting cellar, should you be lucky enough to be asked to come downstairs and sample:
Kids will enjoy playing at the playground when they tire of Mom’s shopping and Dad’s price haggling. And Pets will be grateful for the always full pet bowl:
Or if you’re hot, go spend some time at the pool, with easy access to the Ice cream parlor’s back deck with snow cone machine!
Don’t worry, there’s a lifeguard station:
And a pool house with towels, showers and restrooms:
It has a beautiful night time ambiance too. Just a quaint little city block for any town, but especially for a resort town!
There’s NO CC in this build as usual. It will do best in a populated town to generate shop workers. But it’s fun and cute to explore. Every little inch is detailed and this would be a great background for pictures and screenshots and stories!

Thank you for viewing and for this great showcase of resort town fun!
