What MOO can do for You
I wanted to show you, if you are on the fence about joining us at MOO U..what it can do for you. How it can transform your builds.
I made a simple blank box as a backdrop. A simple room that we all might build build. It isn’t a house, it’s just a stage.
Here is a shot of a room..BASE game only. Everyone of us can build this with just sims 3 installed. I quickly put some furnishings in it, I recolored some, basically, I did what every beginner learning to build did. I plunked the furniture down! At first glance, it’s a nice room.

But look closer. See how the curtains are bleeding into the bookshelves? The rug is too undersized for the space. See how we have big gaps between the bookshelves and the fireplace that are just not where we’d align them if we were building our own real house? See how they are blocking some of the window? The library table is too far from the sofa. We’d push it back, closer to the sofa. The desk looks squished into the room. Oh sure, the sim can use it. But it’s not very appealing, and it’s not a good use of space, but the homeowner clearly needed a little home office. And we needed something under those big windows to the left, but…we don’t really have anything sizable that fits, so those end tables don’t look very good. They are the wrong scale.
Our next picture shows what MOO can do for you in BASE game only again. Everything in the picture, you definitely have. See the difference??

I changed some patterns…I added some items. I pulled, I pushed and I arranged furniture. I made the fireplace look like a solid, built in piece. See how it fits the window space now? The curtains aren’t bleeding through the bookshelves. Plants, and little décor pieces really make the room look lived in.
And the desk..the little home office… I knocked out the walls of the stairs and tucked it back into the nook.

------“but wait”, you say……”Taryn..We can’t put things under the stairs. The game clearly says they aren’t usable. “
Aren’t they?! Little Fairy Taryn Tempestsim disagrees.

And the bookshelves are usable…See? She just got a book…

“Well, Taryn, good grief..the fireplace is going to catch on fire and burn everything down. That’s a fire trap!” you think…
MMmmNope! Look at this picture. That’s Fairy Taryn putting her handy skill to work and making the fireplace fireproof. Nothing’s going to catch on fire now, and it looks great! So much nicer.

Now let’s take it one step further. Now I added other items from expansion packs that I own, stuff packs, store items. Nothing that is CC..everything is EA made and safe for your game. But now it really is looking homey and quaint. Now this little room has some ecclectic style!

Look at the new home office storage space. See the toybox and the toys. Doesn’t it look like Mom or Dad could work from home, (or play the Sims) and the children could play nearby. This adds some realism. We all live like this! Children need toys in the main area of our homes so we can get some work done and keep an eye on them. To the left, I took out the wall and utilized that space for a file cabinet and some built-in storage. Space that was being wasted.

Here’s a custom little touch. Doesn’t it add some snappy décor?

So basically, MOO will help you make the most of what you have.
And you can go from this:

And more!
Come join us. Come on, get off that fence! Come on down to the pasture/playground with us MOOers!
Bring the candy. Leave the tomatoes.
