hmm you tried just clicking on the houses? While the images don't come up, I can click on lots and move sims in. I'm not sure why the previews don't come up though :C
also, while in edit-in-game if you type in the cheat "freerealestate" when you move a family in all the icons appear
tehse as some good quick fixes while i work out what's wrong.
EDIT: I added another updated version where the road isn't missing, and the above workarounds definitely work. You need to uninstall the previous version (if you downloaded it) + delete it for this one to work though C:
