███ ADDENBROOKE, NEW BETA READY + lots of pics pg31

150 years ago, a meteor struck Addenbrooke turning a small sleepy town into a bustling city almost overnight. Tradition has been replaced with technology, and only a few rocks seem to remain of the sacred place Addenbroke used to be.

Although seen as a freak accident, ancestors of the original townsfolk, and adventurous newcomers believe a stranger truth; that it was not a meteor at all, but an invasion. There have always been crop circles and other weird occurences in Addenbrooke, but that was all just rubbish... wasn't it?

The world isn't really a countryside world, considering it has a big city! But I do have a few farmers and things, there is a big variety of sims.

Okay I have a small update. This is the base coat of a big area of the world. In the middle of the weird circle will be an old village, based on Avebury. That'll be where the graveyard is, and I think maybe a church and crypt for a vampire. Lots of nice little cottages.
I've also been updating the lake that you can see in the picture, the painting on it is a bit crap atm, and I want to make sure it looks great for your fishing and swimming sims!

The graveyard and church in the village. I think I'll make it Jacoban, I prefer Peteran Watcher-loving attitude, but the style of the church is more Jacoban Catholic.

I have to agree with Gillie, your terrain painting is lovely! I'm looking forward to seeing this world. :)

I do have a few trails, do they require paths/sidewalks? I don't know much about horses. I can add more, definitely. The countryside paths in my world are invisible, and I've used terrain painting to show them so it fits into the world better.

This looks beautiful! Will there be any lots left empty to add our own? Also will there be a lot 40x40 near a beach or lake? I def want to use this world when its done.XD

Exactly what Gillie said... Total fangirlscream moment. Lots of woah! omg! WOW! << Same reaction I had to the Doctor Who advert that appeared on my TV screen on Monday night after watching the Men's 100m race on BBC1.

Can not wait to play this! As soon as I saw the town houses in the city I thought London, very Kensington.

They don't need trails, they will go along the roads as well. Its just that I HATE riding horses on paved city roads. It just doesn't look right.

There will be quite a few empty lots, since I know a lot of people like them. I think I should have 15 at least, in lots of different areas in the world. I will add a 40x40 beach lot for you. C:

Oh man that is a BIG compliment, Doctor Who is awesome. I've got some Doctor Who Easter Eggs dotted around the world. I can't wait for the Supernatural phone booths so I can have some TARDIS-esque travelling devices. In the abandoned mansion there will be a time-machine surrounded by statues in the basement, things like that. x3

I do have more -countryfied roads, but they're still quite road-y and not as dirty. Today I'm adding in LOADS of trails though for you that look really natural and cool, and go through beaches, hills, forests, etc so there's a nice variety of places. I think I'll add some special stops along them. I'll take some pics later when they've been beautified.
