  • If a sim ever gets glitched or stuck you can use the cheat "resetsim (full name)". Without the quotations and brackets.

Yes you do eventually get children as well as toddlers the more you progress. In my experience most or all of the professions end up being buggy in one way or another. For example I tried the lifeguard profession a few days ago and my sim lost the "go to work" button from the job panel and it never ended up coming back. I tried stylist as well and even when I did everything correct some sims would hate their outfits, and when I did the firefighter profession the game would tell me there are still fires needing to be put out however there were none on the lot so the job would never complete. And finally I also did the singer career but my sim would start getting stuck on stage with no music playing and I would need to reset them every time.

According to my old story back in 2015 though, resetting still left the shiny oval rugs which wouldn't delete. I have a feeling it was before I had much of a handle on NRAAS Master Controller and possibly before I got Error Trap or Overwatch.

I thought maybe someone had come up with things to do and not do to not set off the glitches, or advice on what part of the NRAAS mods to use when signs of the glitches come up, or settings in them that avoid the glitches, or even a community-made patch for it.

Or have people just ended up ruling out trying a daycare or the other professions anymore?

Has anyone had any success with it? How?

They still do work to some degree but usually end up being buggy in some way or another. You may as well try it again and see how you go you might end up not getting any bugs at all haha.

Master controller, Overwatch and error trap are all really good mods to use for sure though.

  • DivinylsFan  The "shiny oval rugs" are social jigs, invisible objects that denote the area where two or more sims are interacting so other sims don't path through them.  These jigs are supposed to disappear when the interactions stop, but that sometimes doesn't happen when an interaction is interrupted, particularly when it's interrupted as you're reloading the save.

To delete them, click the ground of the lot, select NRaas > MC > Object Stats > Not Inventory, and flush anything with "jig" its name.  If you catch one still being used, the sims involved may move to the side a bit or lose their current interaction but won't be harmed overall.
