I had to go for thread necromancy here, but The Sims Resource is the BESTEST, most perfect source for any TS custom content! Amazing quality, great pictures and description, suggested download... It's SO good!
I have never encountered a single "virus" there (and I've been faithfully downloading since The Sims 2's launch), furthermore I can't even imagine how someone would manage to mess that up, it's a pretty simple process, really.
On the other hand, nearly every Simblr and Blog download link go through Adfly, and THAT is a nightmare to deal with.
I have donated to SIMcredible and ATS. Newsea has my utmost respect and admiration (her and Peggy's hairs were always my favorite back in the day and I consider them the Founding Mothers of every amazing TS hairstylists since), but I never donated.
(I'm kinda feeling bad about it now... I might donate, just for the sake of it. ;-)
