Confused about what plants grow in the world and how to find them?

Hi guys,

I'm playing Moonlight Falls for the first time and I realize that many of the new plants actually grow around the world. For example, I found a bush for the Supernatural new Ghost Chili near the graveyard. There's also the base game Death Flower, as a bush, in the graveyard.

I've been using the Collection Helper Lifetime Reward (that buttefly inventory item that allows you to find things on the map). I notice that you can select "seeds" to find them in the world, but you can't find plants this way.

I basically want to know if there is a way to know about naturally growing plants in the various worlds, and if that was new for Supernatural EP?

I don't remember the base game Death Flower growing in Sunset Valley. I can't remember if various vanilla fruits and veggies can be found in Sunset Valley too. And the University Life herbs, are those growing as plants in that world? Hoping someone can sort all this out.

  • Hi :)
Base game plants grow in Base Game worlds. University Plants grow in the University world. Supernatural plants should be growing in Moonlight Falls. You can go to Edit Town and check out all the Community lots or send you Sim around checking all the lots - and home lots.
The Death flower grew in the graveyard in Sunset Valley. There was no life fruit growing in Sunset Valley but many of the "vanilla" plants were there. :)

Thanks, that's helpful. So there's no way to know where the plants are besides manually looking around for them.

I did not know I posted that twice.😊
There's not option on the Collection helper that I know about.  Maybe in a park (I haven't been in Moonlight Falls in awhile).

You can add the plants to a lot with the testingcheats and the buydebug on codes. Separate by Expansion in debug.

  • I usually find the plants by getting my sims to search for seeds and planting them. Sometimes I come across a plant growing in the world and I rarely get my sims to harvest them. Plants found growing in a world will be plants that came with that world or base game plants. There are seed spawners in BuyDebug and you can add them to lots if you're looking for particular plants. I sometimes to this to get plants/seeds from World Adventures Worlds to spawn in other worlds.

To get into BuyDebug is a 2 step process.
Hold the Ctrl key and type C

Type TestingCheatsEnabled True into the edit box that appears at the top of the screen and hit Enter.

Then type Ctrl C again and Type BuyDebug On in the edit box at the top of the screen and hit Enter.

Then in BuyMode click the button that gets you out of Sort by Room. (I have no time to launch the game right now to find the name of that button)> Once in Sort By Room you will see a ? above the menus and click on it. That will take you into the BuyDebug area.

Good luck. I hope you sort it out.
