I'm doing the animal rescuer lifetime wish. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but does it have to be strays that you find out around the streets or does it count when you adopt from the shelter ...

Actually, you can adopt strays, adopt, and visit other sims and ask for a kitten/puppy.
