Any Origin Sales coming up for TS3?

Doubtful. Steam has really good sales occasionally. EPs and SPs are usually discounted down to around $4.95. You can use the Steam code to register your game and download it from Origin.

ETA: you will have to purchase the base game from steam to purchase packs but the low cost is worth it. The packs are usually bundled further to make them even cheaper. I got the base game and 2 EPS for around $12.

Steam sale will be happening soon btw... Most likely, Sims 3 will have a sale. Speculation: Steam Summer sale starts June 21st. Origin also has a summer sale but I'm not sure if it will be around the same time or if the sales will be just as good.

So if you can hold out for that long, I say it's worth the wait. I'm waiting for the Steam Summer sale to purchase other games.

I will say that switching to steam is great, especially if you don't have much Sims 3 content via origin. I was able to replace my entire collection and get more content even via Steam last summer. It also has the perk of not being on 1.69 (if you redeem your codes through steam and NOT Origin) which means you can bypass the launcher.
