Are Freckles and Beauty Marks Genetic?

I actually have the default Kurasoberina's Freckled Fruit Redux as well as E-skin Fresh default and my sims for five generations has either inherited freckles as the founding Sim had or clear skin. I haven't had any issues with both defaults in the game. I knew before hand that there should only be one but accidentally placed the default freckled skin in and didn't notice until I switched stuff around several generations later. So, if you play like I do then yes, freckles can be hereditary however moles will have to be manually placed.
