Boring sims games

I keep my chaos reigned in. I tend to have interesting relationships. For example, my last family, which was tragically lost because I forgot to back up the saved game, started out as a married man and wife. Simply enough, right?

One day, the husband cheated with the maid and the wife had an affair with a woman vampire. After their marriage blew up, he married the maid and had a daughter with her. The now ex-wife (who wasn't aging since she had also become a vampire) grew close with the daughter of her ex-husband and his new wife and they got married when the daughter came of age. Both couples lived in a giant house with no more infidelity.

This is the kind of chaos that keeps me interested in my families :) My sims will at times have children, but they will almost always move out at some point while the parents keep themselves young and continue the story.

@Missa_Sissa I play pretty much the same as you do, and it isn't boring to me at all. Who cares what someone else thinks of how we play? We're playing for ourselves, not for them. How we enjoy playing is what matters.

I've always played normal human families and it's kept me interested since June 2009. Do what makes you happy :smile:

I mostly play human families and my play style has changed very little since I started playing when the game came out and I never get bored. Do you get bored? If you do, maybe you need to shake things up but if you don't then continue doing what you enjoy.

Apparently i have been playing a boring Sim game since 2001. I have always played Sim family"s will never change the way i play. It isn't boring to me.

Are you bored? If not, it’s not boring ;) I like doing different things myself, so sometimes I like raising kids and beating careers (the supernaturals don’t escape that either) and sometimes I do different things. Whatever comes to my mind.

OP here. I thought about with my current game since the boy is adopted (his adopted mom has a boyfriend with whom she had a daughter) that when he grows up he falls in love with the boyfriend who he isn't affiliated with in any way because he is adopted and they aren't married. So... I thought about having them being together and have her be the money maker of the household being she's a level 10 writer.

I do little stuff like that but I get attached to my sims so I don't like to kill them off.

Wow, that sounds almost like the "I'm my own grandpa" song. LOL

I play "boring" too. Meet "the one," get married, have kids, grow old together, continue on with the kids. I've played games with witches and vampires, too, and I rarely use their powers as well. Except to scare off the paparazzi. :D
I'll send them to France, Egypt, and China for fun. I've also sent my sims to Isla Paradiso or Sunlit Tides on vacation.
Fun for me is also trying to find "the one" for my sims before Story Progression snatches up and marries all the good ones. LOL

That's how I play too. Sometimes, the game throws curveballs at me though. I mostly like just playing happy families though.

I usually just do normal things, but random things happen that really throw off my plans lol. Like in my current save, I have three roommate best friends. Two of them are together and the other (my favorite) I planned on getting with another sim I made and plopped into the town. All that got derailed when he burned some leaves and set the house on fire. Because sims are dumb he ran into the fire to panic and ended up dying :( I'll have one of the roommates bring him back after the funeral (btw did anyone else know actual funeral parties existed? i played this game for years and never knew until tonight) and then he and the other sim can have ghost babies. Didn't really plan on having supernaturals this time but I guess it's happening.
