If you also have world adventures installed, don't travel with those boxes in the inventory or you may get a bug that duplicates them every time the game is loaded. I just learned all about that one in my game. Never seen the bug that transfers them into another family members inventory...yet. Did you try placing it on your home lot, then dragging it back to her inventory? In any case, glad you found a solution that works for you.
The same goes for the Fire Trucks. A while back I was playing a Fire Fighter, and she also had the LTW of things dealing with World Adventures. I wasn't paying any attention to her personal inventory, but before I knew it she had 6 fire trucks in her inventory. So I tested it one more time, and after she got back she had 7. lol After that I sold off the extra trucks, except for two, and kept them parked at home whenever she went on a trip.
