First thing I have to say is lights on please when taking picture. In the bathroom I suggest that the upper trim in the room match so make the beige wall with tile as well. The floor tile should match the tile on the wall at least in colour. Just a note; even though you didn't pay for the Ducksworth of Bathington, it still has value. The same if your Sim were to find a bubble bath. Did you CAS the towels? It's hard to tell with no light in the room.
Thanks to depreciation and selling the old rug, I managed to find enough to put a larger rug under the dining room table. Even though I had CASd the sofa to the brown and beige colors in my palette I can see what you mean about it looking too generic. Since this is a rustic sort of cabin, I changed the sofa to snake skin and colored it green to tie the larger green color in. I used more textured fabrics for the rug, and made it less frilly, as well as tying it in to my overall color theme. Same with the new rug for the sofa.
I was a bit perplexed about how to get the lights on when my Sim decided it was bath time. Problem solved! Hopefully you can see what I've done color wise in the bath now. That constraint on the large walls really does restrict what you can do from a design point with anything attached to it. Reflecting on design, the place I live in is 3 years shy of 100 years old, and most of the walls are painted/treated exactly the same, bathrooms included. Our second bath, which is in a newly-constructed part of the house, is the only one with actual tile in it.

That's it. Comments?
