I found the forced automated role sim assignments are the worst thing from Ambitions and wish a Mod could be found or created to disable that awful "feature" and stop forcing role sims to be assigned to ITTF food replicators on community lots while still allowing them to be manually assinged to any object including the replicators from ITTF.I also had buyer's remorse over TS3 before starting to use Mods to fix the issues after having had saves get glitched or corrupted and a no social workers Mod removed that situation that always corrupted saves.I also use a Mod to stop the free vacations pop-up and still get free vacations taking place at local community lots in town though the sims are still in play and I can check on them while the kids are at home alone.
