@Bobbilicious While Sims 3 wouldn't benefit from the extra firepower of an Nvidia 1660 ti, Witcher 3 and Final Fantasy 29 or whatever the current version is certainly would. You could do better for your money though. For example, this MSI has the same processor and memory, a faster graphics card, and a 1 TB SSD. It's $1,904.

If you wanted to save some money, laptops with a 1660 ti start at $1,600. These two have a processor that's significantly weaker than the 9750H but still more than fine for Sims games. The only difference between them, other than that the second one might be sold out (check stock, blah blah), is the screen size.

This one is the same as the two above, except with an Nvidia 2060:

This one has a 1660 ti and an 8750H, which is a bit weaker than the 9750H, but the gap is small. It also has a combination 512 GB SSD/1 TB HDD.

This one has a 1660 ti and a Ryzen 7 4800H processor. The CPU is significantly stronger than the 9750H in non-gaming tasks, for example using Adobe or doing video editing. Which one is better for gaming depends on the game, although the serious benchmarks are just starting to be released. This Asus has otherwise the same specs as the Acer and is $1,900.

(I might have looked for someone else recently and kept some links.)
By the way, 6 GB VRAM (the graphics card's dedicated memory) is more than enough for any of the games you listed. The limiting factor will be the processing of the graphics data itself, not the VRAM the card can access. Sims 3 can only use ~3.7 GB of main memory (RAM) and supposedly 800 MB of VRAM, although I think a GPU might allocate more if allowed, or at least it looks that way in benchmarks.
If you have more questions, please feel free to ask.
I've been there, and I still feel it. But sooner or later, it's time to stop resisting and give in to the Dark Side.

I wished I could play games like Skyrim, the Witcher and Final Fantasy. I still do. I never could, because my household didn't allow anything other than Apple (parents only knew how to use Apple and were scared of viruses).
