Even other games that would benefit from a stronger processor (Cities Skylines comes to mind) are going to be limited by the Nvidia 1650 instead. Sims 3 isn't going to use all the power of the 8300H, even if you're multitasking while playing. So I'd definitely go with more storage rather than the faster CPU.

It also has space for two hard drives, with both a PCIe slot and a drive bay that would accommodate just about any 2.5" drive. I would guess that the one drive each model comes with is an extremely fast NVMe solid state drive in the PCIe slot, and the 2.5" drive bay is empty. But if you don't want to deal with upgrades, or pay for a second hard drive, it's much more convenient to get the larger SSD instead.
Thanks again for the huge help. I live in Italy and currently the two laptops enjoy a great discount. Practically, the version with the i7 and 256 GB of memory is in promotion for 899 euros (I don't know the dollar or sterling value) while the version with the i5 but with 512 GB costs 799 euros. So there is only a hundred euros difference between the two laptops, which is very good. So I'm thinking of buying the laptop with the i7 and 256 GB. Because maybe, later in time (for work, etc.), I will need a slightly better processor than Intel 5 and the ninth generation Intel 7 I think is very good. As far as I know, the 256 GB SSD that is supplied with the laptop can always be replaced with a 512 GB one, so if in a short time I realize I need more memory I can always count on replacing the SSD. The only dilemma, given that I am investing 900 euros in the purchase and would like to spend it well, is on the type of laptop. On the internet I found very few reviews and I don't understand why, since it should be a very tempting Asus model to buy. I also played The Sims 3 (and expansions) on other computers in the past and it never ended well: the game massacred a few-year-old Mac model with excellent performance to death (it had a very powerful work configuration). I am therefore afraid that The Sims 3 will also damage this laptop. By the way, the Apple MacBook line (the only line I'm willing to spend more money on) I've read that it's very not recommended to play The Sims 3, do you confirm?
