I think sometimes sims don't install because you need some sort of program or mesh from the website the cc was created from but based on your avatar you probably already know that. Also sometimes certain sims require some expansion packs but it should tell you the expansions needed on the exchange page. There is a chance that it could have not installed correctly or not at all so check the tab on the launcher that says installed content and try to find the item. If it is there then you could uninstall and then install it again.
quick question (and this is probably unrelated)why can't you download the content directly into the launcher?

Yes, the sim had CC in it, and I found and downloaded all the CC, but most of it was included in the sims3pack (I checked with custard). I also have all the eps and sps, so thats not a problem. When it says "Success!" once I try to install, it does appear in the installed content tab, but theres no .sim file in the "SavedSims" folder, so it hasn't installed! Arghhh this is so frustrating! Thanks for your help though! :D
EDIT: Oh, I tried downloading straight into the launcher, but it takes so much longer and it doesn't work either!! :cry:
