- SimplyJenRising SpectatorWait, you're putting the worlds, saves, & lots into your Mods folder? That's not right. These things are not mods or CC.
Here you can see quotes from the sites F.A.Q. page:Q. How do I install or uninstall a new world / lot?
A. To install either a new world or new lot, simply download, unzip and double click the simpack file. They will automatically start the launcher and install into your game. To uninstall a new world, you must open the game launcher and click the installed content tab. Find the new world and click to uninstall. You also must delete the file found in your downloads folder in C:/....Documents/EA Games/Sims 3/Downloads. You must do both steps or the game will recognize it as still being installed! If you install and are still having issues, check out these tips...Q. Where do I put a save file and what is one anyway?
A. A save file is your new world with sims already in place and ready to go. Not all worlds have a save file, though I am working to change that. Save files are not required but if you would like your world populated, this is the way to go as I do not use mods to place sims. This folder needs placed in your C:/...Documents/EA Games/Sims 3/ Saves folder after you've installed the world. - UlanDhorSeasoned RookieI really need an "edit" button. What I said is true for _some_ of the worlds.
Edit: And here it is :) . Fixed the last post. - UlanDhorSeasoned RookieHmm, I just got a few houses there, and those work fine. What exactly doesn't work?
- The worlds I downloaded and added to my mod folder don’t install into Sims 3. Despite that the link to the world can open the game. The world just isn’t there when I try to play it.

Here's a website for custom worlds.
Like SimplyJen said, worlds get installed differently than mods. - UlanDhorSeasoned RookieSorry, I fell asleep mid-conversation. To add to the former comments, some of those downloadable worlds are directly in the "*.world"-type format and sometimes have to go in very specific places. Some have to be placed directly into the game installation folder (look into the file descriptions for the exact place) of some expansion.
At least the world that I downloaded to check the format came with a 9 step instruction on where exactly to put it. - graceymanorsRising VeteranWorlds like that require a specific process to make all into one file, and then it gets installed into the launcher. Its hard to explain, but I installed worlds like that before.Very annoying.
For example: http://modthesims.info/d/429780/riverblossom-hills-world-and-population-updated-notice-please-read.html
This one has parts, you have to place into a seperate folder and combine them all together as one in a specific process, it was annoying to do and I never installed it again. "GraceyManor;c-17189832" wrote:

Magnolia Promanade is a sims 4 world! Who made it for sims 3!?- graceymanorsRising Veteran@HillyBeth
Not sure who made it.Sorry, if you click the link I'm sure you could find out.
But the world is for Sims 3 not sims 4.If you read under her photos it says that she only liked the name
and it is not based on Sims 4.Every world on that site is for sims 3. "HillyBeth;c-17190678" wrote:
