Do you usually your give your sims house phones?

I was just going through the 'what happened in your game today' thread when I saw a house phone, which got me wondering if most people give their sims house phones. Personally, I only give them house ...

I never used them before I got the Gardener Service mod. If they came with a house I would occasionally remove them. I don't have one in real life either. But when I got the Gardener Service I need a landline for my sims to activate or cancel the gardener service so I like to use the phone as decor too now.
