Terms and conditions change. No one ever reads those when they click "I agree", but within the language of that legal contract to which you agreed in order to play, yes, they can make changes to the software that require updates to run. You are free not to play the game.
Never had any issues with Origin. Happy with my Store content. I'll buy what I like, and happily support a game I enjoy. If you don't, then by all means move on to something more fulfilling. But your argument that EA is violating terms it is pretty much at liberty to set at will is way off the mark.
buy what you want I would hope you do. EA states we as players are allowed installations on five machines.
Maybe they didn't intend this type of situation & did not foresee it but it negates that agreement.
I am only able to install on another machine (aside from the one I have installed on already) if I patch my game to 1.69 and upgrade Origin to latest upgrade.
I'm not willing to do that. And they are not willing to allow me to install 2 stuff packs I purchased.
Stalemate.
but no need for you to get testy, I realize most would not see it from my perspective unless they were in the same situation.
Unfortunately I was not wise enough to avoid it. But it won't happen a 2nd time.
