EA you are violating your own terms
If you have not updated your game past 1.67 don't buy anymore stuff packs or sets for Sims 3. EA is forcing update if you do. I bought 2 stuff packs and was not able to install them unless I updated...

@bekkasan and @king_of_simcity7 I'm unfortunately tied to Origin. I'd rather not be, but I am. So speaking from experience, you don't have to be online for either The Sims 3 or The Sims 4 to work. You can choose to play offline. You do have to use your origin username and password, but you don't have to be online to do it. I can't speak for everyone, but I've never had a problem playing offline myself. :)
