EA you are violating your own terms
If you have not updated your game past 1.67 don't buy anymore stuff packs or sets for Sims 3. EA is forcing update if you do. I bought 2 stuff packs and was not able to install them unless I updated...

Hi everybody...i read that post and i think you could help me to make a choice...my hard drive crashed a few days ago so i had to replace it and now i must re-install my sims game but i want to avoid the 1.69 patch...I got a brand new base game before 2012 and i already know that it doesn't need origin to install and works but i also need to use the launcher to download cc,worlds and export my caw works...so do you know if i can get it works without install origin? I am afraid that origin hijack my game if i connect...Or perhaps would it be safer to go to steam and buy all my games again...waited for a good sale...Thank you for your advices...
