EA you are violating your own terms
If you have not updated your game past 1.67 don't buy anymore stuff packs or sets for Sims 3. EA is forcing update if you do. I bought 2 stuff packs and was not able to install them unless I updated...

@SPARKY1922 did you have the patches inside the ContentsPatch folder in your Sims 3 folder? I think the older downloads of the store content need that to be in your folder but the recent downloads from the store don't seem to need it. I've been able to install my store content - backed up versions and recently downloaded versions - into my disk only game but I always make sure I have all 8 store patches inside that folder.
I did do a little experiment by not putting the patches into the folder and downloaded some of my store content and tried to install it and expected it to fail but it installed perfectly. I suspect they may have done something to the store content on their servers to stop us from having to use those patches to install it.
