EA you are violating your own terms
If you have not updated your game past 1.67 don't buy anymore stuff packs or sets for Sims 3. EA is forcing update if you do. I bought 2 stuff packs and was not able to install them unless I updated...

I know a lot of players never appeared to have problems when the 1.69 patch came out but unfortunately this is where I started experiencing problems which only got worse with each Origin update and a forced windows 10 update from 7 when Microsoft refused to honor my genuine windows 7 disc at a previous PC upgrade so i have had to do something radical to be able to play or shut it down for good which was not really an option for me as I love my game. now I am starting to play disc only on a second hard drive without Origin or the internet and while I have experienced some initial hiccups they are getting resolved plus the thought of one more update causing me further days of time trying to work out what the problem was again was just too much for me to continue on with. I would not mind if I had a small spec PC but I don't I have a pretty decent gaming rig lol
Maybe the patch ruins the game if you have all the packs installed or some packs that I don't own. I know that most people with newer packs like Island Paradise or Into the Future have problems with the game.
I experience minor lag sometimes but only because I play connected to the internet and I share memories and stuff. I have a brand new gaming laptop.
