EA you are violating your own terms
If you have not updated your game past 1.67 don't buy anymore stuff packs or sets for Sims 3. EA is forcing update if you do. I bought 2 stuff packs and was not able to install them unless I updated...

I remember purchasing my first base game it must have been around 2010 but in my memory I was with origin even then and when the updates occurred I think they were done auto via Origin? so this is how I remember patches right up until today and when i installed the disc version i simply clicked onto the 1.67 super patch I had downloaded in one of my folders and that was that so are you saying if there are not the various patches installed in my disc game patch content folder that could be why my disc game will not accept the digital store content? I suppose a super-patch may not install the same way either?

I have every pack and the whole store content plus mods/cc and I expect to be able to play them at the same time as that's what buying a game series is all about to me-) I don't want to play a certain pack here and there i want my vast choices whenever I play my game regardless of the theme I am going for.. and to be honest it has cost me a lot of money upgrading my specs to be able to do that so when something gets in the way i can get a little grumpy about it :)
It's understandable you want to play the game with all packs because you paid for it but the sims in general has a lot of bugs, every game in the series had unfortunately.
I've been playing the game since 2009 and bought all of the Expansion and Stuff Packs on release and have all of the store and 8.5 GB of CC and Mods in my mods folder and am not experiencing issues with the Sims 3. I just know how to make it work without doing things that are known to cause problems and I have a decent computer on which to run it.
