EA you are violating your own terms
If you have not updated your game past 1.67 don't buy anymore stuff packs or sets for Sims 3. EA is forcing update if you do. I bought 2 stuff packs and was not able to install them unless I updated...

I've always suspected that since no player (we know of) ever got a notification from the 1.69 Launcher that they need the Content Patch going back to 2015 when 1.69 was first released, but was never able to confirm it. Thanks.
This thing about the Content Patch not being offered on 1.67 is much newer, as of around Dec 2017 or close to the beginning of this year, and it remains puzzling that we've had no official response about it. Especially when for players on Steam installs and the Mac version of the game, 1.67 remains the highest patch level available.
