EA you are violating your own terms
If you have not updated your game past 1.67 don't buy anymore stuff packs or sets for Sims 3. EA is forcing update if you do. I bought 2 stuff packs and was not able to install them unless I updated...

I just checked and there is nothing in my content patch folder on the other hard drive where I have installed my game via discs apart from an empty downloads folder so is this why I had to download the store content via my disc? so according to the information above if we dug into the program files for those patches I could have used the digital version of my store content with disc version of the game at 1.67 patch? dang this gets complicated but thank you @ScottDemon and @igazor for explaining further too :)
Is there anyway to get those files and save them for future reference?
I think @igazor has given a link in his comment above to where someone has put them for download.
