EA you are violating your own terms
If you have not updated your game past 1.67 don't buy anymore stuff packs or sets for Sims 3. EA is forcing update if you do. I bought 2 stuff packs and was not able to install them unless I updated...

All I can say is that I can do that. In Origin I originally purchased a mix of disk and digital copies and that's what I've got registered. But I later purchased new disks just before Sims 4 was released. I got all of the digital games on disk and that's what I installed on this computer and it all works.
When you add the files make sure you have them set up in the correct folders as I explained above or they may not work.
