EA you are violating your own terms
If you have not updated your game past 1.67 don't buy anymore stuff packs or sets for Sims 3. EA is forcing update if you do. I bought 2 stuff packs and was not able to install them unless I updated...

The expansion and stuff pack discs do not tie to Origin, only the base game discs do. I mean, the later produced EP discs may very well say "Origin!" all over them and entice you to go that route during install, but it can't be a requirement.
wish I could say it wasn't, (a requirement) but with the disc I have it is.
there is no other way to install it. If you don't click that button & click the close the window button, it closes and that's all she wrote.
