You can download a free version of Adobe Photoshop, for now. It's an old version, CS2, and you actually download it off the Adobe site. Basically Adobe no longer wants to run authentication servers or any direct support for these old programs.

You need to create an Adobe account, then download either mac or windows version of Photoshop CS2. Copy the serial# next to the download link and use it when prompted during installation. Like I said this is an OLD version of Photoshop. I can get it to run on Windows 7 professional. No idea how/if it runs on Vista, Win7 home edition or on Win8.
