One of my favourites was a pregnancy glitch. I was playing an overstuffed house and the nursery had been empty for quite a while, so I started "Trying For Baby". I didn't try very hard, expecting somebody to start vomiting and craving foods. Nope, so I tried harder. Then harder. No Pregnancy. I finally gave up, shut down and went to bed. The next day, five, count'em 5 (FIVE) pregnant sims. The nursery has two cribs. The day they were due to go into labour, I bought 2 birthday cakes. The first two babies home, where aged into toddlers right away to get a head start on training. There were also two pair of twins, for a total of seven babies. After a bit, I was able to get them onto a rotating sleep schedule, with the rested babies lying all over the floor while the others slept in the cribs.
That was bad enough, but a few sim days later, just after the first was aged up to a child once they were walking/talking/potty trained and the rest were toddlers (naturally), I headed off on a WA vacation. Upon my return, all my characters seemed to inherit one player's motives, namely the one in the worst condition. Every single player was hungry, exhausted, stinky, lonely, and needing to pee, including the six toddlers. Before the vacation, the toddlers were on a rotating sleep schedule, now they were all the same. The oldest toddler was able to use the potty, but the rest needed diaper changes. The two in the cribs went right to sleep because they were so exhausted. Of course they didn't stay that way for long, but it was long enough to get two more fed, changed and cuddled so they could replace them. They didn't sleep very long either but it was long enough so they were able to play on their own until they needed to sleep again.
I seem to remember a babysitter for a bit, between somebody who worked evenings heading to work, and day workers coming home. They picked up the toddlers I'd just put in the crib and put in some that were partially rested. Very annoying. They were not around for long, just enough to mess things up. A couple of the new moms were teens and don't get time off from school.
The older sims each ate a fruit from the garden (stored in the fridge), and most of them headed to the washroom to empty their bladder and shower before going to bed. Two others stayed on toddler duty, because there was only so much room in the nursery. The adults were so wiped out, they spent more time complaining than taking care of the kids. The kids were screaming so loud, nobody in the house could sleep. I ended up sending most of them out to nap on park benches, making sure an adult was with them, so they wouldn't be picked up by the police. Once two adults finished their naps, they came home to replace the others so they could get cleaned up and nap somewhere. Everybody was in a horrendous mood to go to school/work and came home to go straight to bed. By that time all the toddlers had gotten some sleep and were past the screaming stage. It took a few days for things to fully return to the hectic normal from before the vacation, but it did happen.
